Ukrainian President Zelensky says there will be diplomacy for peace after he had a tense exchange of words with President Trump last week.
In a video posted on his website, Zelensky said they are grateful for all the support the U.S. has given Ukraine in its war against Russia. He added there is clear support for his country’s cause from Europe and everyone agrees there needs to be peace.
On Friday, Zelensky, Trump and Vice President Vance had a tense conversation that led to Zelensky being asked to leave the White House without signing a deal that would push forward a ceasefire.
Meanwhile, the Kremlin said over the weekend the Trump administration is changing American foreign policy to put it in line with Russia’s vision.
