A woman who allegedly took her daughter out of the country during a fight over child custody has been released from jail. Officials say Lillian Maria Crouch was released on bond in Cameron County on New Year’s Day.
Investigators say Crouch took her daughter to multiple countries after leaving South Texas in July. Crouch and four-year-old Rilee were eventually found in Panama and returned to the U.S. late last month. Crouch is under house arrest and will wear an ankle monitor until the case is resolved.
