Wildfire 100% Contained In South Bexar County, Six Houses Destroyed

Officials say a wildfire is 100 percent contained as of late Wednesday afternoon, but not before destroying six homes.

The Bexar  Couty Office of Emergency Management says the fire scorched about 205 acres in Bexar County, plus 39 acres in Atascosa County. The fire started Tuesday on Duke Road near Trumbo Road.

The Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office hasn’t yet determined the cause of the fire. The dollar value of the damage hasn’t been estimated, but Governor Greg Abbott says FEMA help is already on the way.
