The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley will no longer be holding graduation events in Brownsville.
A university spokesperson says the decision was made after receiving feedback from students, faculty and staff at the Brownsville campus.
Concerns including unpredictable weather and extreme heat played a role in the decision. All students will now attend graduation ceremonies at Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg.
