The University of Texas Board of Regents is expected to expand a program that offers free tuition to some undergraduate students. The board will vote today to expand eligibility requirements for the Promise Plus Program.
Undergraduates from families making 100-thousand dollars or less in annual income will be eligible for free tuition and fees. All nine universities in the UT system are part of the program, including the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley.
