Another Texan is selected for the incoming administration. President-elect Donald Trump announced on Saturday the nomination of Brooke Rollins to head the Department of Agriculture.

Rollins is president of the America First Policy Institute, which was established in 2021 to promote Trump’s policy initiatives after his unsuccessful bid for reelection. She previously was the CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, an Austin-based conservative think tank. Rollins served on Trump’s Economic Advisory Council during his 2016 campaign.
