President Trump claims there are signs that his tariffs are working. Trump spoke to reporters at the White House Tuesday and said he heard reports that plants under construction in Mexico and Canada were now moving to the U.S.
Trump also told business leaders on Tuesday that his tariffs were having a “tremendously positive impact” on the economy.
The European Union, meanwhile, said today that it’s imposing counter tariffs on U.S. goods worth 28-billion dollars, after Trump recently announced tariffs worth 28-billion dollars on European goods.
