Three Former Tax Office Workers Charged With Bribery

Three former employees of the Harris County Tax Office are facing bribery charges. Harris County Tax Assessor Ann Harris Bennett in a statement issued yesterday says the former employees are under indictment in connection to alleged fraud within the office’s Automobile and Compliance Department. At least one of the employees was arrested Thursday. No other information is available related to the nature of the bribery charges.
