The 73 new cases confirmed since Tuesday are the biggest three-day spike since the outbreak started. As of Friday, 270 of the measles cases are in Gaines County on the New Mexico border. On Friday, Andrews and Midland Counties, which are near Gaines County, reported their first cases.
