The Texas Lottery Commission is recommending a ban on third-party lottery ticket brokers in the state. The four commissioners made their unanimous decision on Tuesday.

Lottery Commission staff will have a meeting on April 3rd to take public testimony on the issue. The Senate passed a bill to ban the so-called courier companies in Texas.

The House may adopt the Senate bill or a similar one that originated in the House. Any law the Legislature passes will override the actions of the Lottery Commission.
