Private school vouchers are the hottest topic this Texas legislative session, but lawmakers are also talking about boosting the pay for teachers in public schools.
The plan laid out by State Senator Brandon Creighton would provide five-and-ten-thousand dollar pay raises for teachers from smaller districts based on years of experience. There would be also 25-hundred and 55-hundred dollar pay hikes for those in larger districts. It also rewards successful teachers.
