Study States Texas Abortion Law Straining Healthcare Work Force

0

A study by a healthcare consulting firm has revealed current Texas abortion laws are putting a strain on the healthcare workforce.

The consulting firm — Manatt Health — surveyed 450 practicing doctors and almost four dozen medical residents. It found more than 70 percent of practicing OB/GYNs in Texas feel current law has hurt their work and has prevented them from providing their patients with quality service.

One in five is considering leaving the state and most of the medical residents are considering the abortion laws when they decide whether to stay in Texas after their residency ends.
