By The turmoil surrounding the city government in Sullivan City took another turn Tuesday. A special city council meeting was called to discuss councilmember Ruben Villalon and Mayor Alma Salinas.
Villalon was recently arrested on drug charges, while Salinas has filed suit against the city trying to stop the hiring of attorney Frank Garza.
The meeting reportedly would have discussed censure and trespassing notices for Villalon and Salinas, but the mayor was the only city official who showed up. The meeting was canceled due to the lack of a quorum.
