Several South Texas cities are issuing warnings ahead of a big temperature drop. The National Weather Service says an arctic cold front could drop temperatures into the 30s early next week. There’s also a chance of a wintry mix of precipitation on Tuesday morning.

The City of McAllen wants residents to remember the “four Ps” by keeping people, pets, pipes and plants warm next week. The Edinburg school system is also encouraging students to dress warmly and will not require school uniforms during the cold weather.
