San Antonio Salvation Army Sends Help To South Texas Flood Victims

Some personnel from the Salvation Army of San Antonio are in the Rio Grande Valley to help people affected by Thursday’s severe storms. Two people from San Antonio, along with two others and a mobile feeding unit from New Braunfels, headed south on Sunday, and may be there for the next week.

The crews will provide meals and spiritual care to first responders and residents who were displaced by floods. Governor Greg Abbott issued a disaster declaration on Saturday for Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy Counties.
