Red Flag Warning For Parts Of South Texas

The National Weather Service is telling South Texans to watch out for wildfires today.

The weather service has issued a Red Flag Warning for Zapata, Jim Hogg, Brooks and Starr counties and the northern part of Hidalgo County. Low humidity, dry vegetation and strong winds could combine to spread any wildfires sparked today.

The weather service has also issued a fire weather danger alert for parts of Willacy, Cameron and Hidalgo counties.
