Paxton Announces $83M Settlement With Kroger Over Opioid Crisis

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says a settlement is reached with Kroger concerning the supermarket chain’s role in contributing to the opioid crisis.

Paxton’s office announced the 83-million-dollar settlement on Thursday. He says local governments in Texas can now register to receive their share of the settlement for “benefits and opioid remediation.” The deadline to apply is December 29th.
