More than 200 people have been arrested for auto theft in Brownsville over the past seven months. Police say officers have made 209 arrests on auto theft charges since mid-February, with some suspects being minors.
The Brownsville Police Department is advising residents to take extra precautions to protect their vehicles like installing a kill switch or using a steering wheel club.
