Officer-Involved Shooting In Boca Chica Under Investigation

A shooting that involved a Border Patrol agent is under investigation in Cameron County.

Agents were investigating smuggling activity in the Boca Chica area Wednesday night when the shooting happened.

An unidentified person was wounded, while the agent who fired his weapon was not injured. The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the FBI with the investigation.
