Tesla CEO Elon Musk is blaming paid organized protesters for the automaker’s decline in earnings so far this year.
Speaking to investors Tuesday, Musk gave two reasons for the protests targeting Tesla since he started working with the Trump administration and DOGE to slash jobs and programs. One, because the protesters are getting fraudulent money or two, they’re the “recipients of wasteful largesse.”
The electric car company’s quarterly earnings have fallen more than 70 percent compared to last year. The company avoided a loss thanks to selling nearly 600-million-dollars in zero-emissions tax credits.
