More Details About Mission Cyber-Attack Released

The Texas Attorney General’s Office is giving more details about a cybersecurity breach affecting the City of Mission.

A notice from Attorney General Ken Paxton said the cyber-attack on February 28th put ransomware on the city’s servers and backup servers. City workers have reportedly been unable to access any records, including birth certificates, police reports and personnel files.

The Attorney General’s Office says the city is working to regain access to the system. The city is currently under a state of emergency as it deals with the cyber-attack.
