Mission Officials Vote To End Relationship With RGV Humane Society

The Mission City Council has decided to end the city’s relationship with the Rio Grande Valley Humane Society. The council voted Monday to retake control of the city’s animal shelter.

The decision comes after several complaints about poor conditions at the shelter. The city plans to take over the operation of the shelter in about two months.
