A measles outbreak in West Texas has led to a spike in Google searches for “does vitamin A help?” Doctors have been getting a lot of questions about the supplement as well. Dr. Michael Chang says there are zero studies that show it can prevent an infection. He’s a pediatric infectious disease specialist with the University of Texas Health System. He’s telling parents that, if they want to protect their kids from the measles, the vaccine is the only way.
