The McAllen school district is selling one of its former elementary schools to the Boys and Girls Club of McAllen.
The nonprofit group agreed Wednesday to buy the former James Bonham Elementary School campus for one-million dollars. It will be the third Boys and Girls Club location in the city. The 13-acre property will be renovated and is expected to open next fall.
