Many students in the Valley will be staying home today as the area recovers from yesterday’s strong storms.
South Texas College and the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley have canceled classes on campuses today. Multiple school districts across the region have also canceled classes.
Authorities are reminding drivers to pay attention to posted detours as well as areas of standing water on streets and in low-lying areas.
