Man Dies After Officer-Involved Shooting In Edinburg

A man has died after an officer-involved shooting in Edinburg. Police were called to the 28-hundred block of El Paso Street around 9:30 on Tuesday night to investigate a report of a man threatening his neighbor.

Fifty-eight-year-old Felipe Zuniga allegedly pointed a weapon at officers before barricading himself inside his home.

Zuniga was wounded after he reportedly pointed his weapon at a SWAT team member. He died after he was taken to the hospital. The Edinburg Police Department and the Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting.
