By A Houston man convicted of jewelry theft six times is accused of a similar crime in Florida.
Police in Orlando allege Jaythan Gilder stole two pairs of diamond earrings from a Tiffany’s & Co. last month. When he was arrested the next day, they say he swallowed the earrings valued at close to 800-thousand dollars.
He was taken to the hospital where police were able to recover the earrings days later. He was then formally charged with grand theft and robbery.
