Man Arrested For Animal Cruelty In Donna

Police in Donna have arrested a man for alleged animal cruelty.

Investigators were called to the 100 block of East El Dora Road on Saturday to investigate a report of a man hitting his dog.

Officers spoke with 70-year-old Juan Pedro Becerra but did not make an arrest. Officers returned to the location Sunday and took Becerra into custody.

Two dogs have been removed from the property for evaluation. Becerra’s bond was set at 30-thousand dollars yesterday.
