A man wanted for sexually assaulting a child in Hidalgo County has been taken into custody. Lazaro Salazar was stopped by Customs and Border Protection officers at the Progreso International Bridge on Saturday.
The 19-year-old from Monte Alto was turned over to Hidalgo County deputies after the warrant was discovered. Salazar has been arraigned and was given a 50-thousand-dollar bond.
