A man has been taken into custody in Cameron County after allegedly taking his children with him to buy drugs.
Police arrested 28-year-old Juan Lugo after his children were reported missing from Cameron Park on Thursday. Lugo reportedly admitted to investigators that he took his children with him to buy crack cocaine at a residence in Brownsville.
Both children were okay and were returned to their mother. He was jailed on charges of abandoning or endangering a child.
