A man is facing aggravated assault charges for allegedly stabbing a woman in rural Edinburg earlier this week.
The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office says Luis Gonzalez, Junior got into an argument with the woman in the 22-hundred block of Laguna Seca Road on Tuesday. The woman is in stable condition after being stabbed multiple times.
Investigators say Gonzalez resisted arrest and then tried to escape by taking the vehicle of a witness. He appeared before a justice of the peace yesterday and was given a 350-thousand-dollar bond.
