A man accused of shooting and killing a man at a Brownsville library has been found incompetent to stand trial. A judge ruled yesterday that Humberto Paz can’t understand or help his attorneys with his defense.

Paz was arrested last May after the shooting at the library on Central Boulevard. Seventy-one-year-old Vahid Khaledi died following the shooting. The judge ordered Paz transferred to a mental health facility for treatment designed to restore his competency.
