Interim Superintendent Of Hidalgo ISD Announces Resignation

The interim superintendent of the Hidalgo school district is stepping down. Fernando Castillo announced earlier this week that he will be leaving on April 4th.

The Hidalgo ISD board voted 4-3 to accept Castillo’s resignation, with some members feeling he was forced out by political maneuvering. Castillo was named interim superintendent last November.
