Officials in Hidalgo County are urging residents to take precautions due to an uptick in measles cases in Texas.
The county issued a statement yesterday saying there’s been no increase in measles cases locally. The Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department is also closely monitoring the situation and will issue updates if needed.
The county urges residents to make sure their measles vaccinations are up-to-date, especially among school-aged children.
