A group of men claiming to be musicians are facing charges after more than 200 pounds of cocaine was found hidden in their bus.
The bus was stopped at the Hidalgo Port of Entry on Monday and sent for a secondary inspection. X-rays led to a search of the gas tank area and the seizure of about 80 bundles of cocaine.
The bus driver allegedly told investigators that the men were posing as musicians as a cover for their drug smuggling activities. The men made their first appearance in federal court in McAllen yesterday.
