Bills have been filed in the Texas legislature to legalize gambling, but experts say they’re all a long shot.
Derek Cohen with the Texas Public Policy Foundation says a large number of freshmen oppose gambling, whether it’s on sports or in casinos. And that’s swinging the State House. The State Senate, he says, has been strongly opposed to gambling for years.
