By The Edinburg CISD school board is not taking any further action against a high school principal arrested for harassment last weekend.
The school board met Thursday in a closed session to discuss Economedes High School principal Jesus Ramon Mata.
Mata allegedly sent harassing texts to a school district colleague using a burner phone. The school board decided that Mata will remain on leave with pay until the investigation concludes.
