Drivers are being encouraged to slow down, stay focused and stay sober as they celebrate Christmas and New Year’s. The Texas Department of Public Safety is conducting a holiday safety enforcement effort in South Texas through January 1st.
The agency recommends using designated drivers or alternate forms of transportation to avoid drunk driving during the holidays. Drivers should also avoid distracted driving and speeding and always wear seat belts.
