By Over 13-hundred employees are being fired from the Department of Education.
Department staff received an email Tuesday notifying them they had to vacate the headquarters by 6 p.m., and that the closure was “for security reasons.” Just a few hours later, a senior department official announced over 13-hundred staffers were told they were being fired.
Last week, reports said Trump was preparing to sign an executive order that would dissolve the Department of Education.
