There is no shortage of ideas for Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency.
Senator John Cornyn of Texas wants them to take a hard look at government contracting, especially at the Pentagon. He says that fewer defense suppliers mean that contracts are out of control. He points to a deal with Boeing to build underwater drones, which were supposed to be delivered in 2022. The cost has doubled and they won’t be finished until next year.
