The Texas Attorney General is suing a suburban Dallas school district for what he called their “woke” policies. Officials with the Coppell I-S-D allegedly admitted to allowing teachers to teach what is known as Critical Race Theory.
AG Ken Paxton called that a “divisive and racist” ideology. This is not the first time that the Coppell school district is accused of running afoul of state law. In 2023, a family sued after their son was given an assignment to write a report about a scientist of their choosing, but was told they could not choose an “old, dead, white guy.”
