Texas Senator John Cornyn is asking President Trump to support disaster relief efforts in South Texas. The Republican senator sent a letter to the President on Friday.

Cornyn says the state of Texas has asked for an emergency disaster declaration following heavy rain and flooding in the Rio Grande Valley last month. The senator urged the President to “provide all available resources from the federal government.”
