Construction is underway on a new behavioral health hospital in Pharr. A groundbreaking ceremony was held yesterday at the site of the future DHR Health and Behavioral Hospital.
The 100-bed facility is being built with an 85-million-dollar grant from the state through the Mental Health Inpatient Facility Grant Program. It is expected to open in 2026.
