By The U.S. Census Bureau says the population of Texas now tops 31 million people. Data released on Thursday shows the state added nearly 563 thousand residents between July 2023 and July 2024. That’s more than any other state.
Almost 320 thousand new Texas residents arrived from other countries, while more than 85 thousand came from other states. More residents continue to flee California, New York, and Illinois than anywhere else.
