Bystander Opens Fire On Suspect During Police Chase

A suspect is in custody following a police chase on Wednesday that saw an armed bystander get involved.

A Harris County Precinct 4 constable’s deputy tried to pull over a car on East Louetta Road near Lexington Road. But the driver took off, and the chase was on. After the suspect crashed into another car, he took off on foot, and an armed pedestrian fired shots at him.

The suspect stole a tow truck and drove away, but deputies caught him at the intersection of the Grand Parkway and Rayford Road. His name hasn’t been released.
