It seems like the Texas legislative session just got started but lawmakers are already facing a deadline.
House Speaker Dustin Burrows says the last day to file bills is a week from tomorrow. More than six-thousand bills have already been filed. Only a handful will make it to Governor Abbott’s desk after the session ends in late May.
