By The most unsuccessful candidate in Texas says he may give it another go. Beto O’Rourke isn’t currently in the running for anything, but he’s holding town halls statewide lately.
During his Saturday appearance in Denton, a woman asked if he would run for the US Senate in 2026. O’Rourke said yes, if the people of Texas want him to. Last month, Senator John Cornyn announced his bid for a fifth term.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton says he’ll challenge Cornyn in the 2026 GOP primary. No Democrat is in the running. O’Rourke has run failed campaigns for the US Senate, the Governor’s mansion, and the White House.
