The House of Representatives is taking a step to protect Americans from deepfake and revenge pornography.

Lawmakers on Monday overwhelmingly approved the “Take It Down” Act, which provides protections for victims of non-consensual sexual image sharing and AI generated pornography.

The bill, championed by First Lady Melania Trump, now goes to President Trump’s desk. The Senate passed the measure in February.
