Officials are identifying an inmate at the Bexar County Jail who died Friday morning after a medical episode.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office says the man was Eric Green, but hasn’t released his cause or manner of death. A deputy found Green unresponsive in his cell after being alerted by another inmate. Despite lifesaving efforts, Green was pronounced dead around 9:15 a.m.
Deputies said he had been experiencing drug withdrawal symptoms. He had been arrested last Thursday for drug possession.
