Cause Of Death Released For Baby That Died At Hidalgo Daycare

Police say a baby who died at a Hidalgo daycare center was suffering from several respiratory illnesses.

Investigators were called to the daycare on First Street last Tuesday. The nine-month-old child was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital.

The investigation determined that the child’s mother knew the baby was ill but did not tell daycare staffers. The daycare is not under investigation at this time.
